Maya Williams
My goal is to expand the notion of what therapy can be. I don’t have a cure or magic wand to change you, but I have the knowledge, expertise, and experience to help you grow on your life journey. This can be accomplished by reviewing the intersectionality of your circumstances and utilizing therapeutic methods such as person-centered, multicultural, mindfulness-based, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral, expressive art, emotional, compassion-focused, strengths-based, interpersonal, cognitive processing, and solution-focused therapies. I acknowledge the systemic disparities and am strongly committed to providing culturally sensitive, inclusive, and integrative care for BIPOC, the LGBTQIA+ community, and other marginalized communities. To further my passionate sense of justice and advocacy, I became certified as a Problem Gambling Specialist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (MA PGS II), an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), and a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTP II). In conjunction with the listed certifications, I specialize in and have experience counseling individuals with ADHD, other forms of neurodivergence, anger management, relationship or family discord, phase of life circumstances or grief, anxiety, mood disorders, racial trauma, and identities, depression, gender expression or identity exploration, self-esteem or body image concerns, and chronic medical conditions.
