Miranda Franklin
Are you tired of being tired and looking for someone to talk with to help you out of this funk you’ve found yourself in? Do you struggle with feelings of sadness and just not feeling yourself or do you feel like you’ve got an elephant on your chest that just won’t leave you alone? Schedule with me and let’s find the right skills to overcome these difficulties in your life and get you back on track to a healthier, happier life! In 2015, I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Now as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) I have been working in individual practice for eight years though community mental health centers in my area. I primarily work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, addictions, and PTSD. I focus on working with adults, using cognitive therapy to help my clients think about the issues they’re facing from a different lens. By changing the way you think, you can feel empowered to enact great change in your life. I utilize dialectical behavior therapy for those individuals that struggle with regulating their emotions. I am trained in EMDR. I also practice using motivational interviewing, which helps you find the internal motivation to help resolve uncertain feelings to change behaviors. I will always vow to work towards developing a trusting relationship in which you feel heard. Together, we can break down the seemingly overwhelming barriers you feel in your life.
