Muriah’s passion is helping others. Her therapeutic style is person centered and incorporating warmth and compassion into treatment. Muriah’s role is to provide you with respect, support and honest feedback to help you achieve your goals. Muriah understands that life often brings challenges, which are much easier to navigate with the support of a caring and trained professional. Muriah will provide you with support, help you develop problem-solving skills, and collaborate with you to find effective coping strategies that work for you! She works with clients to educate, empower, and develop their ability to confidently manage life’s obstacles through solution focused, cognitive behavioral, and trauma informed approaches. Muriah received her Masters of Science degree from Capella University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and her Bachelors of Arts degree from Ashford University in Psychology. Muriah is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas & Virginia (approved in SC for telehealth). She has worked with diverse populations to include children & adolescents, to the warrior class serving active duty military, veterans, law enforcement & first responders. She most recently worked as a trauma counselor at Warriors Heart, an inpatient healing facility for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Substance Use Disorders, as well as at the Addiction Medicine Intensive Outpatient Program (AMIOP) on a military installation. Muriah has also provided mental health services in individual, group, couples & family formats in residential, outpatient, intensive in-home and academic settings.
