Nasreen Rahman
I have been working as a psych mental health nurse practitioner for the past 3 years in a nonprofit organization, but I have been in healthcare for the past 22 years and out of those 14 years I have been working as a family nurse practitioner with patients from diverse backgrounds in the family practice as well as urgent care setting. I have diverse life experience which includes teaching high school, college and nursing students preparing them for their bachelor's and master's programs. I had the opportunity to live in East Africa (Tanzania), the Philippines, Thailand, and Pakistan. I also had the opportunity to travel throughout the world. This gives me a good understanding of different cultures, religions, and ethnicities and I can provide culturally competent care. While I lived overseas, I also had the opportunity to work with the United Nations. I was also involved in lots of charitable programs for the underprivileged population under the UN umbrella. I enjoy working as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and I am very compassionate and try my best to help my patients and provide them with the best care. My initial education includes a Master in Biology (MSc), Masters in Philosophy (MPhil) and a Master in Public Health (MPH). But later, I decided to go back to school and graduated as a Family Nurse Practitioner program from the University of Phoenix, Arizona. I completed my Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) and Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program from Brandman University, Irvine California.
