Nathaniel Wagner
Hi! My Name is Dr. Nate (you can just call me Nate). I have been counseling for 15+ years, and have a PhD from the College of William and Mary, and a Masters degree from East Tennessee State University. Much of my work is with working with people that are trying to improve the relationships they are in, or the relationships they want to be in. I also work with people feeling anxious, nervous, sad, lonely, and hopeless as well as those grieving losses. I am LGBTQ+ friendly. With people in relationships I work from the perspective of emotionally focused couples therapy. My goal is to help people in relationships connect with each other emotionally, and increase safety, care, and closeness in interactions. Individually, I work collaboratively using an integrative strengths based approach. In sessions we will work together to support healing in your thoughts, emotions, and interpersonal patterns. Our time together is for you, and we will focus on the areas that are bothering you right now or that you want to focus on. Your experience of safety is important, and while discussing some challenges may seem scary, I will help you feel safe, and we will move at a speed you can handle. Reach out, You've got this, I believe in you.
