
Nicole Sommersville
Originally from Pomona, Ca. Nicole completed a BA in Psychology during her 8 years of active duty service in the United States Air Force before pursing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) at Northcentral University. She is currently working towards a doctorate in Northcentral University’s MFT-PhD program, specializing in military families. Aside from her work as a LMFT, Nicole also prides herself on love for travel and roles as a wife and mom. With Bowenian and Adlerian theories as the foundation of her practice, Nicole uses cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, motivational interviewing, and reflective-listening as tools to help clients reach their goals, regardless of their current stage in life. Nicole describes her approach to therapy and life as loving, fair, and informal. Her clients can feel safe speaking freely and authentically without sugar coating or censoring. Nicole strives to ensure her clients show up as their true authentic selves so that she can address their unique challenges to bring about the change they desire.
