Patricia Johnson
I hold a Master's degree in social work and have been practicing as a therapist for 8 years. Throughout my career in hospice, crisis work, and counseling, I have had the privilege of working with diverse individuals facing a wide range of challenges. My journey has led me to specialize in two areas of therapy: somatic therapy and grief therapy. I am certified in DBT and utilize this approach with many clients as well, particularly with clients experiencing self harm or suicidal ideation. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and holistic. I recognize that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to accompany you on your journey toward healing and personal growth. I provide a warm and empathetic environment where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. In our work together, we will collaborate to set goals, explore your strengths, and develop coping strategies tailored to your unique needs. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and your feedback and insights are valued every step of the way. For those who have learned to suppress your emotions for any reason, the somatic work is helpful in allowing yourself to learn to identify, express, and release emotions through connecting with your body.
