Rachel Cohen
I'm someone who is passionate about seeing people flourish, and getting to be a part of their process towards wholeness, healing, and growth. As a queer person who grew up in a religious environment, I am thankful to offer that unique intersection of understanding to others who might need to process similar experiences. While I take my job as a therapist seriously, I don’t take myself as seriously. I enjoy bringing humor and a down to earth energy to my work. I seek to provide therapy that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered. My orientation is informed by many different theories and approaches because I believe that there is no one right path or approach for everyone. I view my job as helping people discover what health and truth look like for them, on their own terms. I have pursued ongoing training in many areas such as addiction, suicidality, neurobiology and anxiety, attachment and trauma, and EMDR. My hope is that my clients leave sessions feeling supported, empowered, and reflective.
