I have experience working in a variety of settings- from private practices, an inpatient hospital, to K-12 schools and college. I work primarily with adolescent and adult clients going through transitions, experiencing depressive or anxious symptoms, relationship challenges, and many other life stressors. My approach is tailored to each individual client. I utilize both a Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Person-Centered Therapy acknowledges that each person has the capacity and desire for growth and healing. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy uses goal-oriented techniques to analyze, challenge, and change ways of thinking, feeling, and acting. As a counselor, my goal is to create a warm, supportive, and safe environment that is best suited for the therapeutic process. I aim to help my clients achieve a deeper understanding of their feelings, behavior patterns and their purpose, and reduce unwanted distress. By developing insight and identifying the functions our behaviors serve, we can work as a collaborative team to set goals and move forward in a way that feels most productive for you.
