Rebecca Compton
Hi, I'm Rebecca! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Provider (LSATP), but more than that, I’m someone who believes in meeting people where they are—with honesty, compassion, and a little bit of humor when it’s needed. I have years of experience working with trauma, addiction, and severe mental health challenges, using approaches like EMDR, IFS, and DBT to help people make sense of their experiences and move forward. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong” with you—it’s about understanding yourself in a deeper way, breaking free from the patterns that keep you stuck, and figuring out what healing looks like for you. You don’t have to go through it alone! I’m here when you’re ready. My approach to therapy is rooted in connection, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach—healing looks different for everyone. That’s why I pull from EMDR, DBT, and IFS, tailoring each session to what you need in the moment, whether that’s processing deep trauma, untangling overwhelming emotions, or just finding a sense of stability in the chaos. More than anything, I want therapy to feel like a space where you can be real—where you don’t have to filter yourself or hold it all together. I believe in honest conversations, in meeting people where they are, and in walking alongside you as you build self-awareness, resilience, and trust in yourself. Healing isn’t always easy, but you don’t have to do it alone. Clients can expect therapy to feel like a conversation—one where they don’t have to hold back or filter themselves. My goal isn’t just to hand out coping skills but to help you make sense of what you’re feeling, why certain patterns keep showing up, and how to navigate life in a way that feels more authentic and manageable. I want therapy to be a place where you feel safe enough to be honest—with yourself and with me. Over time, that honesty builds self-awareness, resilience, and the ability to handle life’s ups and downs with more confidence. It’s not about fixing yourself—it’s about understanding yourself and learning how to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
