Rhonda Allen
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of mental health experience in community agencies and substance use treatment centers. In addition, I have worked with women experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use problems for the past five years. My practice focuses on helping women overcome emotional, behavioral, situational, and relationship challenges to live new versions of themselves and their lives. I am enthusiastic about helping women develop self-compassion and resiliency, which are necessary to endure and overcome life obstacles. My approach is to provide a safe space and trusting therapeutic relationship, which is vital to therapy success. I take a client-centered, collaborative, strengths-based, and holistic perspective to help shed light on the issues, relieve feelings of self-doubt, and achieve freedom from controlling mental health conditions. My clients have weekly sessions to receive consistent support and learn proven coping skills to transition from depressed, anxious, or overwhelming feelings. Initially, we will discuss the present distressing problems, inform each other to understand the issues, and set goals and interventions for our work together. In addition, we will explore the background of the problems to bring awareness and interrupt any repeating patterns that prolong painful struggles. Gradually, change will occur.
