Robert Rhodes
I believe in the value and dignity of every person. I believe every person has the right to choose their own path and make their own choices. Though I hold a Masters of Divinity, in addition to a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, I am a client-centered therapist and will work with you based on your beliefs about yourself and the world. I have been a practicing therapist since 2009 and have worked with a wide variety of clients. I provide an open and safe place for individuals, couples or families to to explore their experiences, articulate hopes for change and move towards healing and growth. The first task of therapy is to determine if I am a good fit for you! I hope to build a strong connection so that you feel confident and comfortable to be your true self and have the experience of being accepted and supported as you strive for change. We will create specific therapeutic goals together. These often will include increasing your understanding of your reason for seeking therapy, growing your understanding of how your brain and nervous system work, developing skills for soothing yourself when strong emotions arise, identifying your relevant thoughts and emotional experiences (both past and present) and moving towards the changes you wish to see in your life and relationships.
