I see every person as an individual so we choose what's most helpful for you! I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma; these are tough things for a person to deal with and I get great satisfaction on helping people move forward.. In therapy, you have to trust the person on the other end. I am committed my work and helping people get where they want to be. I don't "give up" on someone. As long as you're willing to tell me what is or isn't working for you, I'll be there with you. Therapy is a process with your goals and needs in mind. Cognitive Therapy helps people figure out if there are better ways to think or act. Dialectical Behavior Therapy helps people feel more emotionally stable, and is helpful to relationships. Trauma focused CBT is another approach for people struggling with PTSD or other past traumas. I have two Master's degrees in Counseling and Clinical Mental Health. I've worked private practice and at agencies on the Front Range and Chicago. In our intake we go over your history, what's going on in your life now and that help are you looking for. You may know exactly what you need to change in life, so we can "get right to work" and learn specific techniques. But you may start counseling knowing mainly you want something to change in your life -- but are not exactly sure what! My treatment approach is to use known effective techniques to help you figure out where you want to go -- and how to get there.
