My name is Dr. Steven Kutash, and I am a clinical psychologist who graduated from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. I have worked in many settings such as a primary care clinic, a college counseling center, a drug & alcohol recovery facility, and a Children's Hospital. At my practice, my clients are generally adults who are struggling with relationship difficulties, parenthood, career path concerns, anxiety or depression, or who are simply trying to live a more satisfying and authentic life. The foundation of our work will be grounded in a genuine, caring, and non-judgmental relationship, and I strive to provide safety and build trust. As we get to know each other, we will work together to help build understanding of the patterns and ways of being that have kept you feeling stuck and unable to create change. I will support you to increase your ability to accept yourself and confidently pursue your goals. The goals of our work will be defined by you and can change as our work together progresses. When clients arrive in therapy, they are often dealing with some kind of acute crisis, and the early stages of our work might focus on symptom relief. However, as therapy progresses, we might look at many different areas of your life with larger overarching goals such as satisfaction with who you are as a person, positive life change, and having supportive and enjoyable relationships.
