Roxianna Johnson
I understand that we are all unique and experience life’s challenges in our own unique ways. I also believe the quality of your life is only as good as the quality of your relationships AND the quality of your relationships is only as good as the quality of your life. It’s important to foster good and meaningful communications with the people that share space in our lives. I meet people where they are, without judgement. I encourage folks to always ask themselves, “have I done my best today”? If the answer is yes – be grateful for that experience. If the answer is no, strive for a better tomorrow, just keep moving forward. I’m a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and a Licensed Professional Counselor. I’ve worked in the behavioral health field for more than thirty (30) years. I believe in service to others and that has been one of the cornerstones in my life’s journey. I’ve worked in community mental health (inpatient and outpatient), and in private practice with compassion to support people experiencing anxiety, depression, serious and persistent mental illness, substance abuse, social difficulties, and other life challenges. I’ve assisted individuals, families, and couples as they navigate through grief, trauma, and homelessness to achieve a better outcome for their lives. I’ve worked with all types of clients ranging in ages from 18-80, all genders, individuals, couples, and families from diverse populations. My approach is to utilize cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness and Solution-Focused therapies as well as my own lived experiences to support individuals and families
