Ryan Clay
Hi there, I'm Ryan Clay! I graduated from the University of Denver in 2018 with my Masters in Social Work with a certificate in Animal Assisted Social Work and Equine Assisted Mental Health. I have been working in the field since 2019 when my wife and I opened our own private practice and I worked for Griffith Centers. I have lots of experience with kids and teens but prefer teens and adults. I am very client centered when it comes to therapy. It is important to meet you where you are at in the therapy process and I will strive to help you achieve your therapeutic goals. I like to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and experiential activities with animals to help you figure out the best way to deal with what is bothering you. If you do not want to do in person or if it is too inconvenient I can certainly do Telehealth as I started in the height of the pandemic. I like to think I am an easy going and very charismatic person so when you leave my first session you should be feeling much more comfortable with therapy and hopeful for results. I will go at the pace you want to go and I will never be overly clinical as it is not in my nature to be so robotic. I am a person and not a textbook or a robot and you will surely feel that after meeting me!
