Sonya Brophy
Sonya is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received her Master's in Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She provides therapy to individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, women with ADHD, and those with depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. Sonya is trained in EMDR; DBT; ACT; CBT; and SFBT. Prior to opening her therapy practice, she had diverse experiences as a social worker and mental health provider. She assisted in the development of an Integrated Care program at a medical clinic serving American Indians and Alaskan Natives. She worked in suicide prevention and crisis intervention, and she was a discharge planner at various acute care and rehabilitation hospitals. Sonya moved to Southwest Colorado from Denver in July 2019. She enjoys exploring both mountain and desert climates year-round through camping, hiking, snowshoeing, and kayaking. She is a big fan of European-style tabletop games, such as *Carcassonne* and *Settlers of Catan*. She is also a lifelong fan of Star Trek and science fiction.
