Stephanie Morlan
Whether you're full of self doubt; stuck in a cycle of sabotaging negative thoughts; seeking to clearly identify and express thoughts and feelings; overwhelmed with responsibilities, daily living tasks, or staying organized; wish to improve communication; repair and maintain meaningful relationship; set firm and confident boundaries without guilt, or searching for peace of mind and personal fulfillment, I'd appreciate the opportunity to help! I began my career with an emphasis on a Client-Centered approach to therapy. As I gained experience, this approach evolved to include Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, all balanced on a Client-Centered foundation. I provide a very practical approach to therapy focused on identifying personal goals, exploring and eliminating obstacles inferring with achieving those goals, and developing a plan for success. I'm confident in your ability to create positive change that results in an improved life and relationships. Utilizing education, willingness, and intentional effort, you will build communications skills, learn effective emotional regulation, repair and improve relationships, and find joy and fulfillment in today's difficult world, regardless of individual limitations. My therapeutic philosophy has been significantly influenced by my relationships with animals. The Client Centered Therapy foundational principals of empathy, congruency, and unconditional positive regard have allowed me to build trusting partnerships with wild mustangs and tiny terriers alike. I have discovered animals speak very clearly when observed with attentive listening; and treated with respect, empathy, and forgiveness along with a willingness to understand a different perspective. These experiences have taught me the importance of the intentional effort required to build valuable, positive, mutually fulfilling relationships. The therapeutic relationship is crucial for successful outcomes. If you're seeking psychoanalysis or experiential enlightenment, you may not find my therapeutic orientation beneficial. However, if you're looking for an unconditional partnership that revolves around your ability to succeed and to find some inner peace, you've found the right therapist! I look forward to hearing what you decide!
