Suellen Faginallen
For the last 20 years I've been helping people, perhaps like you, work through challenging life situations and come out feeling more grounded and looking forward to the rest of life. I became a therapist in mid-life after having had prior careers in music performance and management, law practice and non-profit governance. I work primarily with the following populations: People in mid-life and beyond People in the legal and healthcare professions People who are creative, gifted and/or highly sensitive People with health challenges and caregivers People from the LBTGQIA+ community If you are going through a challenging life situation that's keeping you preoccupied during the day and awake at night and are experiencing sadness, depression, anxiety, worry, fear, grief, regret, or are just temporarily off-balance, we may be a good 'fit' - please feel free to get in touch! I don't believe therapy should be shrouded in mystery. I'm open, direct and transparent about who I am, how I see you and what I perceive is happening between us in our sessions. I accept you as who you are while at the same time believing that if you've come to therapy you will benefit from changing. As we get to know each other, I will remind you that it's okay to be human and to ask for help when you need it. As therapy progresses, I'll help you remember your strengths, how you've used them to get yourself out of tough situations in the past and how they might be useful for you now. Most of my clients leave sessions feeling affirmed and valued as the unique humans they are, remembering that it normal - not shameful - for humans to have difficulties in life and to ask for help, and slowly regaining confidence in their ability to create positive changes in their lives, based on specific and concrete action steps that we have discussed.
