Many of us find that being able to discuss ideas, thoughts and issues with an unbiased, caring individual beneficial. This can benefit us both mentally and emotionally, and have a positive impact on our relationships. It may also help us physically as so many of these issues can manifest into physical symptoms if not treated. I graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor degree in Social Work in 2005 and University of Cincinnati with a Master's degree is Social Work in 2008. I have been independently licensed (LISW-S) since 2010. I work with adults dealing with symptoms of depression, anxiety, and grief/bereavement. This could be related to a loss of a loved one or relationship or dealing with the everyday stress that life can hold. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist in reframing issues, reduce symptoms, and assist in developing coping strategies. The most important aspect of this work is that you feel safe from judgement, you feel seen, and you feel heard.
