My goal is to help you uncover your strengths, build values-based coping strategies, and embark on a journey of personal growth. In doing this work, I have discovered that the best way to move through emotional pain is to allow yourself to feel it. That can be incredibly overwhelming but with caring and consistent support, it becomes manageable. It is deeply healing to be heard and cared for in those vulnerable states and to understand that by attending to early emotional injuries, a path toward an authentic connection to yourself and others is not only possible, but achievable. I place a great emphasis on developing a strong, authentic connection with my clients. In order to do that i work to be culturally responsive, open, and honest in this work. Additionally, I have special interests and expertise in eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and trauma. I am a queer-affirming therapy and approach my work with members of gender, sexual, and relationship minorities from the lens that your experiences, families, and identities are equal in value to those of your cishet counterparts. I work collaboratively with you to help build a treatment plan that will best meet your goals and objectives. I also use only evidenced-based treatment interventions to help reach those goals. I will often consult empirically based research that is current to ensure that my clients are getting the most up-to-date care available.
