My work focuses on helping individuals with disordered eating, body image issues and depression overcome feelings of guilt, shame and avoidance, and work towards finding their most authentic and best self. I am committed to helping individuals learn how to build healthier relationships with their bodies through a holistic treatment approach. Over my 12+ years of practice, I have evolved into offering a multi-faceted treatment approach. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I offer trauma sensitive yoga + Safe EMDR. TCTSY is an evidenced-based treatment to maximize experiences of empowerment and to cultivate a more positive relationship with one’s body. Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR (SAFE) addresses present moment experience to decrease the emotional and body-based reactivity of traumatic experiences. After working in a behavioral health leadership role for several years, I truly missed the direct therapeutic connection. To fulfill this passion, I opened a private practice so I could continue to offer individualized support along one’s wellness journey. Over time, I have truly honed in on working with individuals struggling with disordered eating, body image issues and depression. This speaks to my passions of a holistic treatment approach, body-based experiences and mindfulness.
