Trauma can impact any person; but it doesn't define the person. In therapy sessions, we process feelings and emotions related to the traumatic experience/event looking to heal and move forward. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, proudly holding that title since 2017 after graduating from NOVA Southeastern University in vibrant Miami, FL. My journey in the field has led me through 7 rewarding years in Foster Care, where I've had the privilege of making a difference. I also worked in a shelter with children and teenagers. Before my U.S. venture, back in my home country, Cuba, I earned my bachelor's degree and spent 8 fulfilling years as a Psychotherapist. For me, helping individuals become the best version of themselves isn't just a profession – it's a passion. Having spent 5 years as a Case Manager in a shelter, I understand the intricacies of challenging situations. Now, as a fervent advocate for Individual Therapy, I see it as an investment in your own well-being. Taking the step towards therapy is a decision I wholeheartedly recommend. Witnessing individuals tackle difficult situations head-on and embark on a journey of personal growth is incredibly rewarding. So, let's invest time and dedication in your well-being – it's not just therapy; it's a pathway to your own growth!
