About this course

ADHD is a widely discussed diversity that presents with strengths and limitations, yet due to masking, it can be hard for clinicians to differentiate ADHD from other challenges, including complex trauma, anxiety, and autism. This training is geared towards clinicians who support clients challenged by ADHD and executive functioning differences. Specific information pertaining to the treatment of autistic children, teens and adults will be discussed. The presenter will share clinical understanding of ADHD and executive functioning differences, as well as the benefits of recognizing and understanding how autistic traits impact therapeutic intervention. Detailed information on evidence-based interventions for the treatment of ADHD will also be discussed. Interventions will include therapeutic frameworks, specific interventions, medications, and special considerations. Case examples demonstrating the effective implementations of these approaches will be shared.
