Amanda Helfrichkuhn
Hi, I’m Amanda Helfrich, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work. I’ve spent the last 12 years helping individuals overcome challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. I have a special focus on men’s mental health, veterans, seniors, refugees, and those from diverse cultural backgrounds. My passion is creating a supportive space where you feel understood and empowered to take steps toward healing and personal growth. In my practice, I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you feel seen, heard, and supported. My approach integrates evidence-based practices tailored to your unique needs. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which is particularly effective for managing intense emotions and improving interpersonal relationships. I also use other modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Therapy is a space for self-discovery, growth, and healing. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling more empowered, balanced, and in control of your life. You’ll take away practical tools to manage challenges, deeper insights into your thoughts and emotions, and a greater sense of self-compassion and resilience. I believe that therapy isn’t about fixing something “broken” but about building on your strengths and helping you live a life that feels more aligned with your values and goals.
