Jennifer Heifner is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas currently serving as the Clinical Director of the Veteran and Family Wellness Program with American GI Forum – National Veterans Outreach Program (AGIF-NVOP). Veteran and Family Wellness Program is an outpatient counseling program dedicated to the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders for veterans and their family members. Jennifer is a veteran spouse and a mother of two. Jennifer is an active member in her church community. She holds a Masters degree in Counseling and Guidance from TX A&M San Antonio and her Bachelors degree in psychology from Pacific Lutheran University. Jennifer is specially trained in the use of CPT and CBT for the treatment of PTSD and substance use disorders. Jennifer is trained in Gottman methods in order to help veteran couples and their families. Jennifer also supervises Interns while they are in the process of obtaining their master's degree.
