With a background rooted in fitness and competitive athletics I earned a PhD in Sport & Exercise Psychology (University of Tennessee) and an MEd in Counseling and Human Development (Hardin Simmons University). As a certified yoga instructor (ERYT-200) the mind body connection became foundational to my practice and life. I currently work as an LPC helping couples, families and individuals dealing with a wide range of issues to achieve optimal wellness. I use a combination of CBT, DBT, mind-body techniques/mindfulness and talk therapy with a person-centered approach. I believe in a holistic approach to mental health that includes physical, spiritual and emotional support. I want my clients to leave each session with skills, techniques and information that can help them in daily life. Ultimately, I want individuals to learn self-awareness, gain insight and self-acceptance that creates confidence to become the best version of themselves.
