Samantha Wagner
I am a Licensed Psychologist who has been conducting therapy for over 9 years. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from APA accredited Binghamton University in 2021 after completing my doctoral internship. I then completed an extensive post-doctoral residency where I specialized in addressing relationship issues from an emotionally focused lens. In my therapy I use an integrative approach of emotionally focused work, combined with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and CBT. Engaging in a meaningful and value-driven life can be challenging and at times we feel lost in the uncertainty of our decisions, ourselves, or our relationships.I approach therapy in a way that acknowledges that everyone’s path to obtaining a fulfilling and successful life looks different. I take an empathic approach that seeks to find a balance between acceptance and change so that we can make meaningful progress towards whatever goals you define. Together we will first seek to understand the issues that are bothering you and the strengths that you already have. I aim to first provide symptom relief and "put out fires." Then, if you choose, we will dive into deeper work that helps challenge long-held patterns (such as avoidance) that were likely helpful at some point but no longer serve you. Throughout the process we will work together to ensure that each session is in service of helping you obtain the life you want to lead.
