Suzanne Brafman
Hi! I’ve been a licensed clinician for over 25 years. I’m a mom, a spouse, a friend, a business owner, an employee, a hard worker and a strong woman. I’ve worked in every level of therapy from outpatient sessions to owning mental health/addiction treatment centers. I’ve worked from the bottom as a mental health tech, receptionist all the way to an owner and a licensed clinician. My experience has taught me that clients are looking for hope that they will feel better and live better. I’ve practiced many modalities and I’ve become most adept at cognitive behavioral therapy as I believe It is the easiest for my clients to understand and the impact is quicker and more attainable. I believe when you are looking for counseling you are looking for hope that things will change for the better. My approach is warm and calming and I strive to give my clients something to walk away with after every session that gets them closer to the hope that today is the start of better days ahead. I strive to give my clients something to take away from every session. I like to ask my clients to do homework or focus on a goal every week so we can measure progress that is most meaningful to my clients. Anything we discuss is totally optional and my clients are free to do as little or as much as they want from session to session. If you are looking for hope I want to help you find your way there at your pace.
